1 Introduction and Scope
AddaresultTool.com ("we", "us", "our") operates a free collection of online utilities including calculators, unit converters, image editing tools and PDF tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit the website, browse its pages, or use any of the tools hosted on it.
We have written this policy in simple, everyday language on purpose. Privacy documents are often long and confusing, and we believe you deserve to understand exactly what happens to your information without needing a legal background.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and our Disclaimer. By using the website, you agree to the practices described on this page.
2 Information We Collect
We collect as little as possible. There are only three situations in which any information reaches us or our service providers, and each one is described below.
2.1 Information you give us voluntarily
The only time you actively send us information is when you choose to contact us. If you use our Contact page or send an email to addaresulttool@gmail.com, we receive whatever you include in that message — typically your name, email address and the content of your query or feedback. We use it only to reply to you.
If you subscribe to our update list, we store the email address you provide so we can send you occasional news about new tools. You can ask to be removed at any time.
2.2 Technical information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure and analytics service record basic technical details when a page is loaded. This is not used to identify you personally and typically includes:
- Browser type and version (for example Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- Device type and operating system (Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Approximate location derived from IP address, usually at city or country level.
- Pages visited, time spent, and the referring page or search engine that brought you here.
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics about which tools are used most often.
2.3 Information we deliberately do NOT collect
To be completely clear, AddaresultTool.com does not collect any of the following:
- Your name, postal address, phone number or government ID.
- Login credentials, because there are no accounts or passwords on this website.
- Payment or card details, because nothing on this website is paid.
- The documents, photographs, signatures, PDFs or numbers you enter into any tool.
- Biometric data, health records, or any other special category of personal data.
3 How Your Files and Tool Inputs Are Handled
This is the part people care about most, so we want to be very specific.
The large majority of our tools — including the age calculator, percentage calculator, EMI calculator, CGPA converter, unit converters, number to words, Roman numeral converter, image resizer, image compressor, PDF merger, PDF splitter, JPG to PDF and PDF to JPG — run entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript and HTML5 technology.
What that means in practice:
- Your file is loaded into your own device's memory, not transferred to a server.
- The calculation, conversion, compression or merge happens on your own computer or phone.
- When you close the tab, refresh the page, or navigate away, the file is discarded by the browser.
- We have no copy, no backup and no way to retrieve it — because we never had it.
A small number of features may in future rely on a third-party service (for example, an advanced AI enhancement or OCR engine). If a tool ever sends data externally, that fact will be clearly stated inside the tool itself before you use it, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
4 How We Use the Information We Do Collect
The limited technical information described in section 2.2 is used only for the following legitimate purposes:
- Keeping the site running — monitoring uptime, diagnosing errors and fixing broken tools.
- Improving the tools — understanding which utilities are popular so we can prioritise new ones.
- Security — detecting abuse, automated scraping, malicious traffic or attempts to disrupt the service.
- Advertising — allowing our advertising partners to display relevant ads that fund the free service.
- Responding to you — replying to messages sent through the contact form or by email.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling that produces legal effects, or any purpose unrelated to running and improving this website.
5 Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are extremely common and are used by most sites on the internet, including this one. We use them for three distinct reasons.
| Type of cookie | Purpose | Can you block it? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Basic site functioning, remembering your filter or tab selection, load balancing and security. Without these, parts of the site may not work correctly. | Yes, but some features may break. |
| Analytics | Anonymous, aggregated statistics about page views, session duration, device type and traffic sources. Used to understand which tools are useful and where the site can improve. | Yes, with no loss of functionality. |
| Advertising | Set by third-party ad networks to display ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and (where permitted) show advertising more relevant to your interests. | Yes, and you can also opt out of personalisation. |
5.1 Managing cookies
You are in full control of cookies. Every major browser allows you to view, block or delete them through its settings menu — look under "Privacy", "Security" or "Site Data". Blocking cookies will not stop any calculator, converter, image tool or PDF tool from working, because those run locally in your browser.
6 Advertising and Third-Party Partners
AddaresultTool.com is free to use because advertising pays for hosting, bandwidth and development. We work with third-party advertising networks to display these ads. Those networks may place their own cookies or use similar technologies to measure ad performance and, where you have consented or where local law permits, to show personalised advertising.
We do not control the cookies set by advertising partners, and we do not have access to the personal data they may hold about you. Each network operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any advertising partner you are concerned about, and to use the opt-out tools mentioned in section 5.1.
If we use Google advertising products on this site, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You can disable personalised advertising from Google at any time through the Google Ads Settings link above.
7 Analytics
We use a website analytics service to understand how visitors find and use the site. This tells us things like which tools are most popular, which pages people leave quickly, and which countries most of our visitors come from. That information is reviewed only in aggregate — we look at trends, not at individuals.
Analytics data may include a truncated or anonymised IP address, depending on the configuration used. We do not attempt to combine analytics data with any other information to identify a specific person, and we do not permit analytics providers to use our data for their own independent marketing purposes.
8 When We Might Share Information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond what advertising partners do through their own cookies, as described above. There are only a small number of narrow situations in which information may be disclosed:
- Service providers. Our web host and analytics provider process technical data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements. If we are required by law, subpoena or a valid court order to disclose information, we will comply to the extent required.
- Protecting rights and safety. We may disclose information where necessary to investigate fraud, protect the security of the website, or defend the legal rights of AddaresultTool.com or its users.
- Business transfer. If the website is ever sold or merged with another business, information may transfer as part of that transaction. This policy would continue to apply until updated.
9 How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as it is genuinely needed:
- Contact messages are kept for as long as necessary to resolve your query, and typically removed within 12 months.
- Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
- Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider's standard retention window, usually 14 to 26 months, and is reviewed only in aggregate.
- Tool inputs and files are never retained at all, because they never reach our servers.
10 How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the website and any information associated with it. These include serving the site over encrypted HTTPS, keeping software and dependencies up to date, limiting access to administrative systems, and choosing reputable hosting and infrastructure providers.
That said, no website on the internet can guarantee absolute security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% immune to risk. Because we deliberately collect so little personal data, the potential impact of any incident is limited — but we still take the responsibility seriously.
11 Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights over your personal data. We honour these requests regardless of where you are located, to the extent we are able.
11.1 Rights for visitors in India (DPDP Act, 2023)
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to request correction or erasure of that data, to withdraw consent, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. You also have the right to raise a grievance with us first, and with the Data Protection Board of India thereafter.
11.2 Rights for visitors in the EEA and UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to access your data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
11.3 Rights for visitors in California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to request deletion, to request correction, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood.
11.4 How to exercise your rights
Send your request to addaresulttool@gmail.com with enough detail for us to understand and verify it. Because we do not operate user accounts, in many cases we will hold no personal data about you at all — and we will tell you so honestly rather than pretend otherwise. We aim to respond within 30 days.
12 Children's Privacy
AddaresultTool.com is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the site does not require registration and asks for no personal details to use a tool, the risk of inadvertent collection is minimal.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has sent us personal information — for example through the contact form — please email us and we will delete it promptly. If you are a minor, please use this website only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
13 Third-Party Links and Embedded Content
Some pages on this website may link to external websites that we think are useful, or embed content from third-party platforms. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices, security or content.
Once you click an external link or interact with embedded content, the privacy policy of that third party applies. We strongly recommend reading the privacy policy of any website you visit before providing personal information to it.
14 International Data Transfers
Our hosting infrastructure and analytics and advertising providers may store or process data in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States, the European Union and India. Where such transfers occur, we rely on our providers' contractual safeguards and standard data protection measures to ensure an appropriate level of protection.
Because we collect so little personal data — and never any content you process in a tool — the practical scope of any cross-border transfer is very limited.
15 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our tools, our service providers, or applicable privacy law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If a change is significant — for example, if we ever begin processing files on a server rather than in the browser — we will make that clear with a prominent notice on the website, not just a date change. We encourage you to review this page occasionally so you always know where you stand.
16 Contact Us About Privacy
If you have a question about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise a privacy right, or believe something on the website is not compliant with data protection law, please get in touch. We would much rather hear about a concern and fix it than have you leave with a doubt.
- Email: addaresulttool@gmail.com
- Contact form: Contact Us page
We read every message we receive and normally reply within 24–48 hours. Formal privacy requests are handled within the timeframe required by applicable law, and no later than 30 days.
